• As many long-time, die hard SCC fans will recall, the cessation of active campaign organization here at savethescc.com was a decision driven in part by the standstill in the Terminator franchise following Pacificor's procurement of film rights.

In December 2012, Annapurna Pictures finalized a deal with Pacificor for the rights to additional film installments in the Terminator franchise, which represents the first new activity in the Terminator 'verse since the cancellation of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.

So if you're reading this, remember that you are the Resistance and that it doesn't hurt to take a minute or two to remind the WB of that.

    No fate.

  • Saving Sarah Connor: Super Sized

    You did it, fans!

In just under a week, you pulled together, pitched in and met the cost for this 3-day mobile billboard campaign. Your dedication is amazing and inspiring. Sarah Connor Chronicles fans rock!

    Update:

The contract has been signed and the payment is currently on its way to Atomic Outdoor Media. You can view the invoice here (some info has been blacked out for privacy) and the confirmation of payment here.

We know that there have been concerns over some aspects of the design, so while this poll will close as scheduled, we are currently accepting fan submitted alternative designs which will be narrowed down and put up for voting upon completion, along with the winner of this poll, so keep voting!

This poll closed on July 17th.  The winner was Design 1!  We’ll be putting this design up for voting after design submissions close on August 6th.

You can also view larger versions of each design here: Design 1 | Design 2

    The idea:

We’ve been writing letters, sending postcards, tweeting and emailing to have our voices heard. Now we’re going bigger… a mobile billboard that drives around Los Angeles (with special attention to places like The WB headquarters) advertising our show and our efforts. We’re currently working on a mockup of the design that will go on the billboard, which will be posted here once complete.

We will also publish a copy of the invoice once we put the order in, as well as any relevant images, documents, etc.

    The details:

Time: Three days (minimum) = 24 hours

    Size: 10’H x 20’W (that’s 3.048m x 6.096m)

    Cost: $750/day + $1250 setup = $3500

We want to coincide the billboard with the release of the Season Two DVD/Blu-Ray in the United States, so once production time is factored in, the fundraising deadline is:

    August 20th 2009

    Goal met!

The donation widget has been removed as we have reached – and surpassed! – our goal. The above image is a screencap of the widget to indicate how much we raised.

Please do not attempt to use our general donation button to donate to this campaign.

We are currently working to determine pricing for a print ad for which any excess donations above the $3500 goal will be used. The above image is there to keep an official record of all donations made to this billboard fund.
