As many long-time, die hard SCC fans will recall, the cessation of active campaign organization here at savethescc.com was a decision driven in part by the standstill in the Terminator franchise following Pacificor's procurement of film rights.
In December 2012, Annapurna Pictures finalized a deal with Pacificor for the rights to additional film installments in the Terminator franchise, which represents the first new activity in the Terminator 'verse since the cancellation of The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
So if you're reading this, remember that you are the Resistance and that it doesn't hurt to take a minute or two to remind the WB of that.
Saving The Sarah Connor Chronicles at ComicCon 2010
On behalf of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, www.savethescc.com is aiming to make an impact at the San Diego ComicCon 2010, where over a hundred thousand fans of genre television, film and print media as well as major networks, genre publishers and media will be gathering this July.
The plan is to reach our audience both within and outside of the centre. Our goal is to fund the return of the mobile billboard to circle the convention area on the busiest days of the con (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) and to fund promotional giveaways to distribute with our message throughout the convention.
Savethescc staff and fans will be attending the convention, both to distribute our message and to document everything. Going to ComicCon yourself and want to help out? Contact aelysian@savethescc.com
Our first priority is the billboard, the secondary being the promotional giveaways.
In the event that funds are raised beyond the cost of our goal quantities, we will allocate the extra money to optimize the quantity of giveaway items we can order.
As a thank you to loyal fans of the show, we’re producing “no FA te” buttons for donators. For every $25 donation, we’ll send you one set of these awesome buttons. Scroll down for pictures!
To allow for production lead times, shipping times and to secure our billboard dates, we’ve set a donation goal deadline for June 1st.
Mobile Billboard – San Diego, July 22nd-24th
We’re running the billboard again! Since we’ll be using the same design as last time, we’ll save on printing costs – Atomic Outdoor Media still has our original billboard in storage for us. The billboard will circle the convention centre area for eight hours per day starting the first day of the convention through to the third day.
Promotional Giveaways
The choice of promotional items was based on the typical popularity of such items (thus the ease in getting them into people’s hands in an environment bombarded by media and messages), the likelihood of recipients to use them for prolonged periods of time, and the visibility of our message. In addition to these items, savethescc staff will be handing out stickers throughout the convention, the cost of which will be funded by the staff.
All images below with the exception of the donation giveaway buttons are preliminary, provided for visual reference.

As a way to say thank you from the staff (who have a habit of wanting to replicate things from the show, since we’ve been denied proper merchandise,) fans will be sent one set of “no FA te” buttons for every $25 they donate. (e.g. A $100 donation will be sent 4 sets.) All button sets will be sent out after donations close for ComicCon.
