step in the right direction
We’ve been incredibly fortunate enough to have received a few tidbits from a trusted source who asked to remain unnamed. Respecting that, let’s get to the important stuff…
A division of Warner Bros. Entertainment called Warner Premiere, which deals in direct-to-DVD entertainment, has been ’seriously considering’ a follow-up movie to The Sarah Connor Chronicles. However, the recent legal issues with The Halcyon Company has caused some hesitation.
What does that mean?
It means they need a little encouragement. A sign that there’s a market here, that there’s money to be made, and that yes, this is the right thing, WB, you’re doing the right thing.
Ahem.
What they need is a push. A Freaking Big Push. Which is why we’re busy organizing and planning the Push that launches September 3rd. In light of this new information, we’re tweaking some things to make our message more effective, but get ready, TSCC fans. We’re going to fight this September and we’re going to be heard.

For those of us who haven’t yet ordered our T:TSCC S2 DVDs, would it be helpful to have a given day to do that? Or should we all just get out there and pre-order ASAP?

We will likely have a day to pre-order on the September calendar, but if you want to go ahead and pre-order now, we sure won’t stop you!
[Reply]
Hell yeah!:)

This DVD movie needs to happen. We have to see John and Cameron reunited…
[Reply]
This news made my day. I just hope everything gets worked out and we get a DVD movie and then that leads to another season *fingers crossed*.
[Reply]
Great news!
[Reply]
The German Resistence is here too, just letting you know that we are doing our best too.
Not that I am not tripping balls over theese news, but … If we get a direct-to-dvd movie is there still a possibility to get a third season or will that be it?

Great to know!
We’re not sure, to be honest. We think a direct-to-DVD movie is our best bet right now, but if that does well enough…well, nothing is out of the realm of possibility, as long as there’s enough monetary incentive for the production companies and networks, right?
[Reply]
Woooohhooooo! Thank you to the “unnamed source” for keeping us in the loop. It means a lot to hear that our efforts are making an impact where it matters.
[Reply]
Oh and of course it means even more that our “unnamed source” is going out of the way to share that info with us.

The most important thing is to buy the seasons on DVD immediately when they come out. I know I sound like an advertiser, but that is what I am trying to do. Imagine if this show sold outrageously , and broke records. That would ensure the Direct to DVD movie. When that comes out , if that could break records, then we are looking at more.
Spreading the word is important. I don’t know how to get masses of people to buy something, but if I knew how , I would do it.

I think if broke records with season 2 sales in the US, we would definitely get a whole third season =). But good dvd sales will most likely get us a movie.

Loves it! All is not lost
[Reply]
I’ll try my best!
I already have TSCC season 1 in DVD and BD (when I’ve realized that DVD UK version doesn’t come with the extras) and already preordered season 2.
And I’m trying to spread the word here in Italy about this superb show!
[Reply]
A light at the end of the tunnel. This some excellent news.
[Reply]
Might work as long as they develop it as a continuation. If they try to make it as a stand alone to include people who have never seen TSCC…I don’t know if that will mess it up.
About a 12 hour dvd would be good.
[Reply]
I’d like to see Season 2 dvd sales outsell T4 100 to 1. That might wake up some VP’s

[...] New news from the fine folks over at savethescc and you can find their original news post here- Step in the Right Direction. [...]
I will help in anyway I can.
Just glad someone else is now reporting a similar story as I did.
Keep Pushing, Keep Fighting and considering all of the “static” I got, I am still fighting on.
TSCC will live on

Thank you for being so professional.
[Reply]
I hope this inside source is reliable. I really miss the show and so do many of the fans. And many of us have gone to great lengths to show our support. Hopefully we’re doing enough to make our voices heard. We need all the support we can get.
Hang in there baby!
[Reply]
Well this is certainly an empowering rumor. I’m quite excited and reinvigorated about TSCC with this simple report.
I hope our support and sales are enough to persuade WB to get the ball moving.

I would buy TWO copies if this happens!
One to open & watch, and one to remain unopened on my shelf!

if anybody at the wb is reading this, or at halcyon. They should definity do the direct dvd movie and forget that terminater 4 ever happened and get josh Freedman to write and direct this, and base the rest of the terminater movies of series. Because it isthe only way to bring respect back to the francise in my oppinion.
Ps I’m already in the process of getting my copy of season two.

Please have Josh Friedman helming this continuation. It will be absolutely pathetic if they get someone else.
[Reply]
WB, if you reading this…we don’t want a show “like this show” we want *this* show. That means that you need to round up the cast and crew and get them working on it again before they all get stuck in other long term committments. We don’t want crap extensions of the franchise that don’t have the spirit of the original as happend in the case of Star Trek TOS.
We want you to reconstitute this show because we want you to bring the *magic* back to us.
Now, enough pep talk, get busy.

Please produce this movie! If you dont think there’s a market for it… Just look at all the past Terminator endevors? The TV program must of had a decent enough following? It certianly had all the components for a sucessful outcome; great writers, and really good actors! So whats up? I’ve seen some shows that have fallin off that wern’t that good to begin with. However, “TSCC” was not one of them! Thanks, Dave
[Reply]
a made for tv/straight to dvd movie , is seriously gonna suck balls ..
maybe the cost of makin gthe show, was just too high in terms of a financial return ..
still .. this is the best show i’ve seen in years .. such quality .. right up there with the terminator movies ..
[Reply]
Seems stupid FOX can keep shows like the SIMPSON’s (which I was a fan of in my younger days) but pull the plug on T:SCC. Maybe a smart studio (D2DVD or whatever) will pick up the franchise. I’d like to see more
[Reply]
A movie would be fine – to at least give a proper close of the story…
But of course the best would be a 3rd season!
So, come on WB – pick it up!
[Reply]
Movie! I want a 3rd season. The end of Season 2 does not coincide with the latest Terminator movie. Season 2 left a lot of unanswered questions and in fact created many more.
WE demand a 3rd season
Thanks you
Peter

Dude. We’re not the WB. If you want a third season write and tell the WB that; we’re well aware of what we as the fans would like to see, are they?
Besides which…what would you rather? A DVD movie or nothing at all? It’s something to think about.

SAVE SAVE T:SCC Please!!! Summer Glau rulezzzz? Summer FOREVER. All be Back TSCC!!!!

UAU! Those are really WONDERFUL news!!
Good things come for those who wait people!
I´m from Portugal, so I don´t know exactly what more to do to contribute to the “PUSH”, besides ordering via Amazon the Dvd PLUS the Blu-ray and telling everyone I know to do the same and writing to the executives! (LOL)
But I still think it´s not enough… I´d like to be there, engaging the “battle field” and go to places where I could, at least, speak face to face to the security guard at the entrance of WB headquarters…eheheh
Goddamn it…why did I have to be born on this side of the planet??? Huuuhhhh….
Well…I´ll do my part.
Let´s get down to work people!!
LET´S GIVE T:SCC THE BIG PUSH!!
[Reply]
Well, I would say Salvation was a push in the wrong direction (although I don’t hate it). I would also say that SCC needs this push. We have to show we want it back! So you have my support on this, and I hope sometime in the future, we get a direct-to-DVD release of what should have finished the Born-To-Run storyline of TSCC!
Warner, I hope you’re listening.

FUCK YEA!

One of the best shows to come along in years… and if the big wigs cant figure out how to make money with it.. why should me have to suffer… for the love of god 2 and half men is on the air and i still see reruns of friends every day… terminator salvation was awsome.. maybe if the didnt pay every actor 10 millon plus they would make money off the movies too… but thats just a thought.. maybe they dont need millions of dollars for 3 months of work… anyways bring my show back and id be all good.. get your shit together and make it happen

ok, I stand my ground, ready to fight back!!

this is really an awesome news, I’ve read about Thoas Dekker’s declaration too regarding the possible dvd & I’m hopeful it will be done.
Besides, the only big issue is that especially in Europe,dvds-boxset of TSCC season2 will come out as late as half November…just the English version: for other languages even further in year, so PRE-ORDINATE EVERYONE, I’m sue this may help much!! Ciao ^_^ Keep up the faith+luv!!
PS_don’t worry, I’m going to purchase the English version to be as quick as I can…bye

It is hard to understand how a show this good (compared to most of the other garbage shown on network TV) could or should be cancelled. I have recommended this show to many people that were not familiar with it and almost all of them became attached to the show. In my opinion it was one of the best shows on TV. Its a shame we ( the viewers of the show) have to be subjected to poor marketing which is why I think the show had such low viewership.
They could have and should have integrated the marketing of this show with the marketing of the movie which was released this summer. They had a gold mine and failed to cash in, and we all lose.
[Reply]
2 seasons of watching this show and the cliff hanger was totally making me think about the next season and then nothing! Please make this movie happen!! I wish the season was starting like it is supposed to this month!!
[Reply]
It’s the same old story.
The ingredients for TSCC were a rare combination. It had a near perfect cast, relatively amazing storytelling, with high production quality that sucked you inevitably in the wonderful land of illusion. If there were ever a series to create a cult following it was TSCC, only to be snuffed out by a bad loan and the mess turned over to lawyers…
The only way to re-create the illusion is to make a loud enough voice to fix the problem with a higher profit margin.
The amazing cast and production team has their future earning capacity to think about, and who really blames them.
They could probably do a lot to help re-create it.
I, for one, am just grateful to Friedman for the images that they gave us, the one-shots of Lena Headly and Summer Glau are priceless…oh. and the interwoven humor in the first season was enough to propagate years of storytelling.

Hey guys, This really sounds good to me however, in The Netherlands Season 1 isn’t even available to buy yet lol, i can pre-order but still it will take alot of time before season 2 will be out, because well they’re still airing it on TV over here so alot of ppl see it on tv so i think there’s alot of promise over here in our little country
[Reply]
A movie would suit just fine, as it’s not going to be as tedious a schedule for all the actors who need to participate. I don’t ask for much, but I do ask for something. Close the story, so we can get the satisfaction of what was intended and respectfully succeeded at- being one of the best sci-fi stories we could ever hope to get so attached to.

Meanwhile, how about some fanfic?

It is really good. Screenplay scripts, you need to use a bit of imagination to visualize… If the series ever re-materializes, you can consider TCW (The Connor Wars) a parallel timeline. But who knows… Perhaps the resumed TTSCC may be closer to TCW than one would presume. Season 3 (22 episodes total) is almost completed and Season 4 is in making, so I’ve heard–maybe 6 episodes and then one full featured closing screenplay.
