Day 23: Emails and Movie Theatres
We’ve got two things going on today!
It’s the beginning of our two week pre-movie ad run at The Grove (Los Angeles, California), The Muvico Rosemont 18 (Rosemont, Illinois – near Chicago) and the Clearview Cinemas at First & 62nd Cinemas (New York, New York). For those of you in the area…go pay a visit! Take pictures (and video) if you can manage it and either link or email it to us so we can share it with everyone.
It’s also Email Day!
Email fast and email hard. Hit up the WB (and any networks of your choosing) with emails expressing your support for the continuation of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
billboard wrapup
The billboard run wrapped up yesterday evening in Los Angeles and we’ve got the pre-movie ads’ two week run starting tomorrow. (And “Is Sarah Connor There?” today!)
So, a quick summary. If you haven’t yet, you can see pictures of the billboard here and here, and a video of it on the streets here.

In one of the more innovative fan campaigns seen in recent years, they’ve got themselves a mobile “Bring Back The Sarah Connor Chronicles” billboard that they’re driving around Los Angeles to get some attention (which clearly worked, at least in our case). Presumably they make sure it frequently circles the Warner Brothers Studio lot, since WB produced the show.
Save the Sarah Connor Chronicles is a group of fans dedicated to the revival of the recently canceled Terminator TV spinoff, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. The Billboard reads “No fate but what we make,” “Bring back the Sarah Connor Chronicles,” and “Take back the future.” This comes the day before the release of the series’ second, and supposedly final, season is released on DVD and Blu-ray.
As the second season of “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” debuts on DVD and Blu Ray this week, a group of passionate fans want to see more of the show at some point in the future.
Fans trying to save “Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles” has turned literally from an online petition to an all out movement/campaign. It’s already been six month since the shows cancellation by the evil Fox, but loyalists have refused to show defeat and are trying to convince Fox and other studios (namely Warner Bros) to pick up its third season.
Fox canceled Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles almost six months ago now, but fans have refused to give up. If you’re a fan of the show and haven’t added your weight to the various campaigns designed to convince Fox to overturn their decision, then let me suggest now’s the time to join the party.
chatroom reminder
As some of you might have heard – or been there for – Josh Friedman visited our chatroom again late last night/early this morning. It wasn’t the first time and we hope it won’t be the last either (Thanks again for coming by, Josh.)
That said, we’d like to set some things straight about the way the chatroom works.
First. It is not locked. It is an open chatroom, available to anyone that chooses to visit, and governed by few rules. Besides the usual regarding spamming, trolling, one of the most important rules of the chatroom is this:
Do not log. Do not post.
What does that mean?
We have had members of the writing staff that have visited us in the past and we have had incidents where members in the chatroom have logged conversations with them and published them without permission, even after being asked not to do so. As a result of this, we have banned logging in the chatroom. If a guest says something that’s ‘newsworthy’ enough, we ask for their permission to publish quotes here, to our blog. Otherwise, we are not going to edit and publish transcripts of every conversation they have with the fans in the chatroom, as most of the time, it’s simply casual conversation. (And quite frankly, we aren’t always there for these visits either.)
Despite our efforts, there have been incidents of illegal publishing even after banning logging, and as such, we make it a point to remind chatroom members of this rule during and after a visit.
If/when we have chatroom guests from the show and you miss it, it’s not our responsibility. If you’re in the chatroom when they happen to pop in, great. If you’re not, better luck next time. Our job is to moderate the room and keep things running, not to make sure that every last fan is aware of every notable event in the chatroom.
And that, boys and girls, is how the chatroom works in a (slightly large) nutshell.
Day 22: Is Sarah Connor There?
Day 22 brings us a particularly fun little daily mission.
It’s simple. Call The WB (818.954.6000) and ask for Sarah Connor. Even change it up by asking for John Connor or Cameron Phillips or whoever your favourite character is. Let’s hope that The WB takes the hint, because really…where is Sarah Connor?
That said, let’s try not to annoy them so much that this becomes a negative thing. It’s about lots of different people calling, not the same few people calling over and over again. Got it? Now go!
