ComicCon and Round Up
So we’re back from ComicCon 2010, where we spent four days stickering and handing out buttons and totes to con goers. 850 totes, 3000 stickers and 1000 buttons went to the San Diego ComicCon, all of which was funded by you, the fans.
Over the course of the convention, we had the opportunity to talk to fellow fans about our efforts as well as promote the series to people who hadn’t yet seen it. We heard everything from “Do you work for the show?” to “Didn’t that end a season ago?” to “Oh, I loved that show!” to “Is it coming back?” to “This is so much better than the WB bag.” No, seriously. That last one actually happened. Repeatedly. Take that, giant WB bag.
We handed out promotional merchandise to vendors, kids covered in buttons, people in shirts that read anything from “Cyberdyne” to “Browncoats” to “Han Shot First”, Wonder Woman, FOX promoters, Jesus…
ComicCon. It’s a ride and you, the fans, made The Sarah Connor Chronicles a part of that.
We do have a little merchandise left over and we’re going to work on the best way to give what we have left to you guys. Please do not leave comments, emails or message any of the staff with requests. We will post to this blog when we have sorted it all out.
As for the future of savethescc.com. We are most certainly not closing and we aren’t ready to call ComicCon our last big campaign either. As it stands, the future of The Sarah Connor Chronicles ultimately lies in the hands of the franchise owners, the producers, and other people that aren’t us. They know we’re here and they know we want it back. We will always support the series and we will continue to fight for its future, but at the present time there are no plans for another expensive campaign. We are turning our attention to supporting the community that has always supported us, our efforts and the series while keeping the movement alive for the long-term. Who knows. Some of the staff have SCC convention dreams on the brain and who knows where the future will find us, the fans, and The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
This is not a goodbye nor a prelude to a quiet closure. It’s a change of view, looking to building the fandom for the future, one in which we hope you will all join us.

“Some of the staff have SCC convention dreams on the brain”
Hee. Don’t you mean all of us?

@RoxyB,
Between you, me and Schmacky, I think our convention dreams have effectively scared off every other staff member we’ve ever had. You know, that, and other things.

I would be willing to assist if necessary.

Great work guys!!!
I wonder if FOX or WB has noticed all the stuff around. Anybody knows?

Hi there!!
I’m from Brazil, I love the show and I want to help the campaign. What can I do here, in my country, to help save TSCC??
[Reply]
Well, more than a year of sadness, fear, anger, but also trust and still … hope.
Thank you very much for all this hard work to bring back our beloved show.
Our best wishes to you,
the German Resistance

Well done and welcome home.
umm, I have this dream on my brain of a TSCC con….uh…located close to a bar…somewhere….

Thanks or the update! I’ve been checking eBay to see if anything has been posted up there and so far nothing. Which is great! The recipients seem to be holding onto them and hopefully the Resistance has grown through this campaign. So proud to have been a small part of it.
And I agree with arthur1920 on having a con near a bar. I’ll have what he’s having. Unless it’s tonic water.

@aelysian, RoxyB,
I’ll always be down with the idea of a Sarah Connor Con!

Has anyone thought about something we should do April 21, 2011? It’s not that far away, anymore.

Thank you. That’s the least I can do for now, so I’m saying “Thank you”. For that huge ComicCon campaign, for everything before it and for everything to follow after… but mostly for not giving up. One might think “for not giving up on fight for the series”, I say “for not giving up on us”. Cause here we are, scattered on the Earth surface – the SCC lovers – struggling to get our favorite show back. We’re willing to fight but as it it often turns out we’re too weak of a force without a proper lead.
That’s just the thing – You are John Connor to us.
So, keep up. Never give up. No one is ever safe. If you’re dead – they win. You know the drill by now
And yaw! Despite of being stuck on another half of the planet I’ve already received my sets of “no FAte” buttons! Thnx for that too.
Hey, and fix that forum of yours, or else where can we discuss your awesomeness?

Ok guys.. I am sending out postcards to all networks on this site and I am trying to get a car topper to drive around with; maybe a car magnet to drive around with.. Any info and I will let you know. IF you are new to this site I still encourage you to call, mail post cards and sign all the petitions you can find on the net to bring back T:SCC! It is still not over untill I see season 3. Good luck guys. Let me know I am not alone with this campaign!! Andy, Phoenix AZ

WELL DONE !!!!!

Thanks for all you’ve done on our behalf! A con would be just too awesome! I guess I’ll have the tonic water (have you ever tasted that stuff?!?).
No fate!

The almost militant attack on Comic Con was awesome! Loved the video. I also think we have hope because a bank owns the franchise and that means we have their greed on our side. If they see a profit we might at least get a movie!

guys i saw this on perez hilton blog. I don’t know yet if this is true

It was true, however Hannover House never had permission to start it from Pacificor. They just got their cease and desist letter.

Its like Hannover House randomly decided to adapt a bad fan fic, completely jumped over all the red tape in the process and Pacificor stepped in and said “uhh, yeah, no.”
Looks like we wont have to endure this monstrosity if all goes as it should.

I got bored the other day and watched the entire 2 seasons of TSCC. It hurts that much more when you re-unite with your favorite series and know there will not be a continuation. I did some net searches on a possible season 3 and came across this blog post— not sure how much truth there is to it but it has given me a pinch of hope… and i really need that pinch. I hope it makes you all happy

Thomas Dekker has verified on more than one occasion that there is a definate possibility for a direct to DVD movie, in fact that there is actually something in the works now. All the cast of the show have agreed to be a part of it. Now it’s just a waiting game…

I just can’t get enough of this series. I’m a little late, but if i can help let me know!! I just got done watching the final episode again and still can’t believe how fox could just let the series end like that!!! It makes no sense with all the growth the show has now!! come on FOX or WB lets get this going!!!!!

Great work you guys! I just converted two of my friends to tscc and they want to help in any way they can. Any ideas for them as they bot live in London?

yes we do need a tscc con

I just finished watching season one and two…and like everyone one this site loved it….and hated to see it end….star trek went years before , next generation and movies followed…the reason —-the fans….
The studios are forever bringing back old stuff, remaking old titles….our job is to convince them of the truth..they have a winning project, maybe the marketing was 20%..BUT THE SERIES IS A MONEY WINNER…..
FOX , WB…..yes in a few years your new brilliant leader will make a fortune for bringing this back…
our job is to make that happen ASAP
